The 2010 Fredrick Kirby Award Winners

Each year the area high schools identify the male and female senior students who had the top College Entrance Exam (SAT) score. The students, their parents, and select school officials attend a lunch meeting where the students are recognized individually. Dr. Fred Kirby was a long-time educator in the Muscogee County School System (principal, assistant superintendent) until his death. Fred was a valued member of the East Columbus Rotary Club now called the North Columbus Rotary Club. He would have been proud of this year's selections.

If all students performed like these, there would never be a teacher shortage ... Everybody would want to work with such students.

Congratulations to all of the students, their parents, and school leaders for such high achiement!
